The Anjeau mountain chain and the Tude massif is made up of a limestone ridge with amazing views from the peaks and rocky outcrops. On one side there are valleys with villages and hamlets, and in the distance the Aigoual massif and the Lingas. On the other side there is the pic St. Loup and, on the horizon, the sea.

The pic d' Anjeau reaches 862m and the Tude rock 895m.
The shepherds use the Tude as a barometer with the saying, "If the Tude wears his hat (clouds), then the shepherd takes his coat,"
Near the pic d' Anjeau are the Anjeau caves. This is a huge cavern where bones and old pottery have been found. Free entry.

To get there : from Le Vigan, take the D999 in the Le Vigan direction, then the D48 towards the Cirque de Navacelles. After 10km, at the entry to Montdardier, turn left towards St. Laurent de Minier. There is a parking place with an explanatory notice board and the start of several paths about 500m on the left.

There is a map "Walks through the Vis valley and the Causse d'Oiselette" is for sale at the Tourist Office.
